For the Birds!

Dale Gentry—Director of Conservation, Audubon Minnesota

Did you know the Mississippi Flyway runs right through the Twin Cities?

And this massive “bird highway in the sky” is the largest and most-traveled

migration flyway in North America?  Since most species fly at night and rest

during the day, come learn how we can make our yards more friendly for these
beautiful, yet vulnerable, creatures—winter and summer.

CGC Book Club Discussion – Braiding Sweet Grass

Curl up with BRAIDING SWEETGRASS by Robin Wall Kimmerer

Join us for our January Book Club as we gather to discuss all of our most favorite parts.

If you haven’t read it, you’re in for a treat.  If you have, savor it again.
There’s much to take in about our fascinating interdependent relationship to the natural world around us.

Location:  TBD

We’re hoping to meet in the comfort of a member’s cozy home (no fireplace at Village Hall ;).

Note:  The gathering will be the 3rd Thursday in January, allowing us more time to read the book.  An audio version is also available, read by the award-winning Potowatomi author and botanist herself!

Mini Garden Tour – Connie Getsch Garden

Please mark you calendars for the Connie Getsch Garden mini garden tour social — the last of three mini garden tours!  These socials are casual opportunities for our members to see each of the gardens we tend to throughout the summer and socialize with each other! Garden teams are welcome to provide snacks, if they wish, and members are encouraged to bring their own beverages.
